Specifically, Apple’s lawsuit describes Corellium’s service as an “illegal replication” of its mobile operating system and apps that are designed to run on its iPhone, iPad, and other devices. Further, the brand from Cupertino also alleges that Corellium makes unlicensed copies of its newest iOS versions, as soon as they are officially available. To be fair, Corellium’s existence and how the company to be isn’t what normal folk would describe as typical. According to Forbes, the co-founders of the startup take pride as being some of the early pioneers in the jailbreaking circle. The company isn’t shy about its actions either, having openly admitted to it during a recent Black Hat conference.
In any case, Apple is demanding that Corellium destroys all the codebase, and that it pays compensation to the former, in cash. More importantly, it has asked the US court to order the startup to notify its customers that it violated Apple’s right. (Source: Techspot, Forbes // Image: Getty Images)
