Hence, that is why the ECG feature in Apple Watch is still locked in Malaysia although it has received approval from the Ministry of Health’s Medical Device Authority earlier this year. However, that is about to change soon as it has now been confirmed that the upcoming watchOS 7.5 update will enable the feature for Malaysian users. The confirmation came via the release note of the watchOS 7.5 Release Candidate (RC) which is now available for developers and public beta testers. In addition to the ECG app, the update will also enable the irregular heart rhythm notifications alongside the ability to access subscription content within the Podcasts app. It is not known when the finalised version of watchOS 7.5 will be delivered to users but today’s rollout of RC means that the public release is coming really soon. We will keep you posted once that happens, so stay tuned. (Source: 9To5Mac.)
