Let’s start with what the SE model is missing. As compared to the Series 6, it does not come with Always-On Retina display and U1 Ultra-Wideband chip as well as blood oxygen and ECG sensors. Internally, it is powered by the S5 dual-core chip which is the same chip that was equipped into last year’s Series 5 releases.
While the smartwatch still can be obtained with 40mm and 44mm case alongside stand-alone GPS and cellular options as well as Nike co-branded variants, the SE is only available with aluminium body. The new blue and (PRODUCT)RED colourway options are not available on the SE as well. Other than these main differences that we mentioned above, the SE can still pretty much perform many of the same functions on the Series 6 but at a much lower price point. In Malaysia, the price for the SE GPS with 40mm body starts at RM 1199 while the cellular variant goes from RM 1449 onwards.
Similarly, the 44mm version has a starting price of RM 1349 and RM 1599, respectively. However, the release date for Apple Watch SE in Malaysia will only be revealed at a later date.
