The teaser, which appeared when downloading additional files for the app, showcases a card with the E-wallet’s branding along with the Samsung service’s description. However, this image no longer appears when we recently downloaded the app on our Galaxy S20 unit. Regardless, Lowyat.net user PJng confirms that Boost asset data can be found in Samsung Pay’s apk file. This potentially suggests that the E-wallet’s integration into the Korean tech giant’s NFC-based payment system is likely to happen soon.
Details of how the Axiata-owned E-wallet will work with Samsung’s payment system is still unknown for now. We’ll eventually find out when both parties officially announce this partnership in the near future. Thanks for the tip Kevin Ng TK! (Source: Lowyat.net Forum / RinggitPlus / Amanz)
