Specifically, the new A100WEPC is a special version of the equally new A100 Series which is a reissue of the 1978’s F-100. For fans of science-fiction movies, you may recognise the F-100 as the watch worn by Sigourney Weaver’s character, Ellen Ripley in the 1979’s Alien film.
As you can see from the product images, Pac-Man is being prominently featured throughout A100WEPC. Casio pretty much took the iconic game screen and put it on the A100WEPC’s watch face as well as the watch bands. In fact, the company said that the colour of the Pac-Man arcade game cabinet is the reason why it chose a gold-plated case for the watch. Furthermore, the Pac-Man motif on the watch band is not just some random imagery as Casio said that the top band actually showed Pac-Man being chased by ghosts while the reverse took place on the bottom band. Naturally, Casio has also stamped the Pac-Man logo and icons on the backplate of the A100WEPC to further seal the deal. At the moment, the company has yet to release any availability or pricing information for A100WEPC in Malaysia but if you need some indication, the Casio Pac-Man watch will go for JPY12,100 (~RM467) once it goes on sale in Japan next month.
