The source code for both games weighs in at only 5MB of data, which is not surprising given that assets such as art or sound are excluded. The Reddit post explained that these are actually the legacy game codes, which are also compatible with the upcoming Remastered edition. The reason behind the source code release, as mentioned earlier, is part of EA’s effort to help the modding community to develop custom maps, units, and other mods for C&C Remastered. Being a fan of the original game, I do hope modders will find a way to make the hidden dinosaur units become deployable in combat. Yes, you read that right. Dinosaurs. Anyway, Command & Conquer Remastered will be released pretty soon. To be exact, the game is slated to launch on PC via Steam and Origin on 6 June 2020. (Source: GitHub via Reddit)
