The feature was first spotted by Jane Manchun Wong, who tweeted about it back in October last year. Quite fittingly, it really is dark. While it’s easy on the eyes especially when used in the dark, being completely in the black may not work for some.

In a new tweet, she says that the mode has been brought to public testing due to pressure from users.

It’s not even a certainty that this is a mode that will be released to everyone just yet.
