The new Meet tab will appear in the Gmail app, and accessing it will provide users a meeting schedule as well as the ability to start or join calls. From there, selecting “New meeting” will let users start a session instantly, receive a meeting link to share with others, or to schedule a meeting in Google Calendar.

Selecting “Join with a code” will enable them to participate a video call with a provided meeting code. Additionally, if a user do not wish to have the Meet tab appear in their Gmail app, they can simply remove it by disabling it from the app’s settings.

Google noted that non-G Suite users who are using Meet for free will only be limited to 60 minutes of call time. However, the company said that it won’t enforce this restriction until 30 September this year.
