In general, the new iPod touch still looked quite identical to its predecessor. Equipped with a 4-inch IPS display alongside 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP FaceTime HD camera, the main upgrade that the new model brings to the table is its A10 Fusion processor which is the same chip that powers iPhone 7. The chip might be ageing but it is powerful enough to deliver up to twice the CPU performance and three times better graphics to the new model as compared to its predecessor. Not only that, it has enough firepower to allow the new iPod Touch to support Group FaceTime and augmented reality apps. With a battery life of up to 40 hours for music playback and 8 hours for video playback, the new iPod touch can be obtained with storage space options of 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Available for order in selected markets starting from today onwards, its availability in Malaysia is not yet known at the moment although we do have its local pricing in which we will discuss further in the subsequent article.
