Specifically, Yu wants Huawei to take the top spot among phone makers. HONOR should also be following close behind, with the goal of being the second largest brand in China, and the fourth in the world. To that end, another goal set by Yu is for Huawei to support HONOR in the development of new products.
The new goals come after the company achieved a list of seven previous goals. Among them include stopping the sale of entry-level phones, and moving up to midrange and high-end devices. For the larger of the two brands, it’s probably within the realm of possibility. After all, Huawei did the unthinkable when it overtook Apple in smartphone sales back in August last year.
