For Thailand, the ministry announced that designated airlines for both countries can have up to six flights a day using the KL – Bangkok route. Another, being the KL – Phuket route, will allow for up to four flights a day. More routes may be added pending further discussion and agreement of both countries.

As for Cambodia, only one VLT route will be opened up, and that’s the KL – Phnom Penh route. The number of flights between the two destinations are lower too, at only two a day. As with Thailand, more routes may open up if both countries can come to an agreement on that. These VTL routes are currently set to begin operating on 15 March 2022. Related SOPs and health protocols are expected to be released soon as well. The ministry ends its announcement by saying that discussions with other ASEAN countries are still ongoing for the reopening of additional routes. (Source: MOT / Twitter)
