As a result of this, Mozilla froze the rollout of update 78, and quite soon after, released update 78.0.1. The update’s release note reads “Fixed an isse which would cause installed search engines to not be visible when upgrading from a previous release”. The turnaround from the bug’s discovery to its fix is pretty quick. Which is great, because update 78 is quite the major update for the Mozilla Firefox browser. According to its release notes, version 78 came with various security fixes. (Source: Mozilla via Techdows)
