Details about the machines are unsurprisingly scarce, although 9to5Mac thinks that the notebook could be a 13-inch MacBook Pro. With the redesigned Magic Keyboard and scissor switches that launched with the MacBook Pro 16 just before the end of 2019. On another note, the filing itself seems to confirm that the unnamed “portable personal computer” will be running macOS 10.15 at launch. For context, the current 13-inch MacBook Pro first launched in 2016 and was refreshed later in 2019. Specs-wise, the notebook can be fitted with up to an Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 16GB RAM, and comes with a Retina Display With True Tone. In terms of pricing, it starts at RM5499, while a fully-loaded variant will cost you RM15548.
On a side note, if the notebook does indeed turn out to be a MacBook Pro 13, we do hope that it will be free of the battery issues that plagued it back in 2018. Again, there’s still no confirmation whether the Apple device in the EEC filing will be the MacBook Pro 13, and Apple itself hasn’t made any official announcement on the matter either. On that note, it looks like we’ll just have to wait until Apple chooses to speak about it. (Source: 9to5Mac via Techspot)
