The source in ASUS reportedly confirmed that the card’s existence and development, even telling the leakster site that the card will be available in three of its lineups: the Dual Evo, Phoenix, and TUF3 series. Specs-wise, the Super version of the GTX 1660 will retain the same TU116 Turing architecture. However, it is speculated that the card will be running on 6GB GDDR6 graphics memory clocked at 14Gbps, versus the 6GB GDDR5 graphics memory and 8Gbps speed that the current GTX 1660 runs at. For context, that’s even faster than the GTX 1660 Ti, which has 6GB GDDR6 memory running at a 12Gbps memory clock speed. As for when the card will be out, speculations suggest that the card could launch as early as October next month. Tom’s Hardware had reached out to NVIDIA to comment on the matter, but as per standard NVIDIA protocol, the GPU maker simply told the tech site that it “doesn’t comment on unreleased and unfinished products”.
