The company made the announcement via its official Twitter account. In it, the company says that it has “secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community”. It’s also worth noting that OnlyFans used the word “suspended” rather than scrapped, cancelled, or something else to denote a definitive dropping of the policy. So while it does mean that the more risque performers on the platform are temporarily in the clear, it doesn’t mean that there will not be any aftershocks.

But the spokesperson did not identify which banks these were that initially opposed NSFW content on the platform. With the expected U-turn, it’s back to business for everyone involved. Or maybe not, as it wouldn’t be surprising if some NSFW performers decide that it’s a scare that they don’t need ever again, and moved on to alternate platforms.
