The first of which, the Strider Chroma, measures at 900 x 370 mm with a thickness of only 4mm. According to Razer, the mat features a polyester surface with warp and water resistance for greater durability, while situated under it is a grippy, grooved patterned base that prevents it from slipping. It is also the world’s first hybrid gaming mouse mat with multi-lighting zones, with 19 in total that can be customised by the user via the Razer Chroma app. Razer touts that the Strider Chroma’s lighting system boasts over 16.8 million colours, with countless lighting effects, and is compatible with over 200 Chroma-integrated games. In terms of connectivity, the mat relies on a USB Type A connection to a compatible device, such as a PC or laptop. And just in case the Strider Chroma is still not large enough, then you may want to consider Razer’s other ultra-large gaming mouse mat that launched alongside it: the Goliathus Chroma 3XL. Living up to its name, this particular mat arrives at a whopping 1200 x 550 mm in size, with a thickness of only 3.5mm. As the company puts it; the 3XL version is capable of covering entire desks, and is perfect for those who use lower DPI or wish to have more areas for mouse movement. It features a micro-textured cloth surface that allows for “ultimate precision” and “total tracking responsiveness” when used with a laser or optical sensor-equipped mouse. And much like the Strider Chroma, the Goliathus Chroma 3XL also comes with a non-slip rubber base, though it lacks any resistances against warping or water spills. As you can already tell from its name, the mat features Razer’s signature RGB lighting system, which is capable of displaying 16.8 million colours, countless patterns, and dynamic in-game lighting effects. This is powered by a USB-A connection and is fully customisable via the brand’s Chroma app on desktop. In terms of pricing, the Razer Strider Chroma is retailing at RM 649, while the Goliathus Chroma 3XL is priced at RM 509. Both gaming mats are now available exclusively via the brand’s official online store. (Source: Razer press release)
