But two years have passed, and we still haven’t seen any new entry into the satellite TV market. That might change later this year though as another satellite TV license holders, Smart Digital International is apparently working to launch its satellite TV service this June. This is based on the information provided through what seems to be the official website for the service. Called Sirius TV, the website stated that the service will be offering 30 channels with 60 new on-demand video programs that will apparently be delivered on a daily basis. The website has also revealed that Sirius TV trials will begin in mid-May 2019. However, we still recommend everyone to hold your horses though since the website (or rather just a webpage) seems quite sketchy and doesn’t even list down any communication channels that would help interested parties to reach out to the company. That being said, Smart Digital International has indeed been listed by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission as a valid holder of Network Facilities Provider, Network Service Provider, and Content Applications Service Provider licenses. With that, we are going to keep a close look at the development of Smart Digital International and its Sirius TV project. (Thanks for the tips, Josh!)
