Initially, I was sceptical. After all, the Toy Story franchise wrapped up beautifully in Toy Story 3. I worried that the fourth instalment would be nothing more than a cash grab and that Disney/Pixar could potentially ruin the legacy of what has been a brilliantly written and conceptualized franchise. Hey! I guess we should never doubt the House of Mouse. I’m hyped! Here are some of the Twitter reactions by US critics who managed to catch an early screening:

— The Outlaw aka THE GOAT (@TheRochaSays) June 13, 2019 Since the first batch of reviews in the US are out, naturally Rotten Tomatoes has compiled them. And… I’ll be dammed! Toy Story 4 has a whopping 100% on the popular aggregator site with an average critic rating of 8.5/10. The consensus: Note that it’s still early and the score could very well change as more and more reviews are compiled. Toy Story 4 official synopsis:  Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Toy Story 4 bounces into Malaysian cinemas this 20 June 2019.
