The social media giant stated that it is intended to support creators and small businesses who wish to organise live events such as performances, classes and professional conferences on the platform. However, no details or guidelines regarding this feature just yet and its roll-out is said to arrive in the “coming weeks.” The company added that Facebook Live will also see the return of its Live With feature. For those unfamiliar, this feature allows users to add another person into your live broadcast, which is pretty handy for podcasts or interview sessions. Other new tools that will be introduced include the addition of the donate button to live videos wherever nonprofit fundraisers are made available, and an audio-only option will also be added for users who wish to rely less on their mobile data. Lastly, users will soon be able to stream their games directly from their mobile devices via the Facebook Gaming app. As with the paid access option, the company has not announced when these new features will be available on Facebook Live.
