To which Jenkins replied:

The more interesting question posed towards Jenkins, though, is why she chose the film to be set in the 1980s specifically. While Patty Jenkins didn’t provide any details that would spoil the story, she did explain her thought process: Wonder Woman 1984 is set to hit the big screen on 4 June 2020.
