While certain Mi Store in Malaysia has put some units on display over the years, they are not for sale as the brand has not officially launched Mi TV in our market. Some savvier consumers would go as far as importing them directly from China or obtain them through enterprising importers.
That could change very soon as Xiaomi is already planning to release Mi TV in Malaysia very soon. According to an interview with Xiaomi Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore, Nicholas Shi by Amanz, consumers in Malaysia can expect to see Mi TV in our market within this year. Meanwhile, the executive further stated that other Xiaomi IoT products that the company is also planning to release in Malaysia includes Mi Watch, Mi Gaming Monitor, Mi Robot Vacuum Mop Pro and many more. However, Nicholas did not reveal any exact launch date for any of these products. He also didn’t reveal the list of Mi TV models that are going to be available in Malaysia. If you need a comparison though, Xiaomi has released four Mi TV in Indonesia so far including the Mi TV 4 55 that features 4K resolution, HDR support, and a price tag of IDR 4,999,000 (~RM 1,398). There are also the Mi TV 4 43 and Mi TV 4A 43 which are full HD models and priced at IDR 3,499,000 (~RM 979) each.
