Casio explained via its official press release that the formation of its online store resulted from the surging trend of online shopping that was caused by the ongoing pandemic. The brand initially launched the new service starting with Taiwan, which would then later expand across several different regions including our own down the line. It also appears that the Malaysian online store is handled directly by Casio, and not by its local distributor and store operator Marco Group. It is also worth noting that the official store is still lacking in terms of product variety at this current time, where the only choices available are timepieces under the brand’s G-Shock and Baby G product lines. The company did not mention whether it plans to include other products such as its Pro Trek and Edifice watches, or its electronic musical instruments and calculators in the near future.
To access the store, simply visit the Casio Malaysia website and click on the Online Store link on the upper right side of the page, or by visiting it directly via this link. Purchasable products in the store’s listings will feature a shopping bag icon, and clicking on it will add the selected product to your cart. Keep note that the item is out of stock if the icon is grayed out, while those without the shopping bags are not available for purchase at the moment.
Customers are not required to register for a Casio account in order to purchase any products from its online store. However, having an account does come with certain benefits such as free deliveries, stock notifications, and a personal Casio product collection page. Registration is available via the store page itself. (Source: Casio [Instagram] [Facebook] [Press release])
